Terms of Service — YardWild

By using YardWild, you agree to these terms. YardWild is operated by Erbacci Ltd (Cyprus) ("we", "us").

1. Service description

YardWild is a Ring Appstore Partner skill for US homeowners. It connects to your Ring outdoor camera(s) via the official Ring Partner API and identifies non-bird wildlife (mammals, reptiles, amphibians) captured by motion events, presenting an ongoing curated timeline. Birds and humans are intentionally excluded.

2. Eligibility

• You must have an active Ring account and an active Ring Protect Plan with at least one supported outdoor Ring camera.
• You must be a US resident — YardWild is distributed only in the United States via the Ring Appstore.
• You must be at least 18 years old (or have legal guardian consent where applicable).

3. Account linking

You authorize YardWild to access your Ring account on a read-only basis (motion events, device metadata, snapshot images at event time). We never access live video streams, audio, or your Ring account password. You can revoke access at any time from the Ring app.

4. Subscription & billing

• Free tier: 10 wildlife identifications per calendar month. Timeline of past sightings remains accessible after the limit is reached; no new identifications until the next month.
• Premium tier: $5.00 USD per month for unlimited identifications, full species library, weekly digest, push notifications, and citizen science contribution.
• All billing is processed through the Ring Billing System. We do not see or store your payment details.
• Premium is monthly only. Cancel any time from the YardWild Settings page or from the Ring app; access continues until end of the current billing period.
• Refunds are governed by Ring's billing policy.

5. Acceptable use

• Personal, non-commercial use only.
• You may use YardWild only on cameras installed at your own property or with the express consent of the property owner.
• Don't attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the service.
• Don't use the service in ways that violate Ring's terms or applicable law.
• Citizen science contributions to iNaturalist are subject to iNaturalist's own terms.

6. Wildlife identification disclaimer

Identifications are produced by automated AI models (AWS Bedrock and MegaDetector). They are not guaranteed accurate. Confidence scores are provided to help you judge reliability. YardWild is intended for casual nature observation; do not rely on it for any safety, scientific, regulatory, hunting/wildlife-management, or commercial purpose without independent verification.

7. Privacy

Our handling of your data is governed by the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

8. Disclaimer of warranty

YardWild is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, accuracy of identifications, detection of every wildlife event, snapshot availability (Ring API may be temporarily unavailable), or push notification delivery.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Erbacci Ltd is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from use of YardWild. Our total liability is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

You can stop using YardWild at any time by disabling the integration in the Ring app. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms or for fraudulent, harmful, or abusive behavior.

11. Changes to terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified via email and in-app at least 30 days in advance.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Cyprus, except where mandatory consumer-protection law of your country of residence grants you the right to bring suit in your local courts.

13. Independence

YardWild is an independent third-party Partner skill on the Ring Appstore. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Ring LLC or Amazon.com, Inc. "Ring" is a trademark of Ring LLC; we use the name only as required to describe the integration.
